Greensboro Farmers Curb Market Hosts Peach Day on Saturday July 5th from 8:00 AM til 12:00 PM

GFM PeachDay

Greensboro, July 5, 2014 — The Greensboro Farmers Curb Market is hosting Peach Day for a relaxing morning after Independence Day. There will be a peach cobbler tasting as well as peach ice cream tasting. Guest chef Mary Lacklen will be preparing the peach cobbler.

The peaches are donated by Phillip’s Farm and Chappell’s Peaches, and the flour is provided by The Old Mill of Guilford, all regular vendors at the farmer’s market. The peach ice cream is homemade by Phillip’s Farm.

There will also be cobbler for purchase – $8 per container. All proceeds are to benefit the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market.

Live music will be performed by Laura Jane Vincent starting at 9 AM. Vincent is a folk/indie rock guitarist and singer from Greensboro, North Carolina. Picnic table seating is provided, and patrons are encouraged to bring seating as well.

  1. Thanks for your input. We were disappointed as well. Volunteers made up the cobbler with donated peaches. It was a big hit and we’ll do even more next time.

  2. Very dissapointed that the peach cobbler was all sold out and gone by 9:30 AM.
Market needs to do better projecting customers appreciation for events of this type.
