The Greensboro Farmers Curb Market (501 Yanceyville St) will host the Dog Days of Summer presented by Dog Days of Greensboro with support from All Pets Considered. This fun event will take place on the Market lawn from 7 am – 12 pm to celebrate summer, dogs, and local artisans and makers.
Customers are encouraged to bring pets to the Lindsay lawn for all kinds of dog related fun.* Local artisans with pet products from organic dog treats, to shampoo, collars, pet portraits, and more will be located outside for customers and their dogs to enjoy and interact with.
Activities will include a “dog parade,” a “pup pool” for dogs to cool off in and a “paw print” station for a great keepsake to remember the day with. Dog patrons (and their owners) may enter into the dog parade starting at 9:30 am by sign up at the Pet Sitting Station starting at 9 am. The station is “pay what you can” and will be staffed by Market volunteers to “pet sit” for customers while they shop inside the Market.*
This event is made possible due to generous locally-owned business sponsors including Dog Days of Greensboro, a dog daycare with boarding and grooming options, and All Pets Considered with pet supplies and grooming. Additional support is provided by Carolina Value Pet Care Mobile Vaccine Clinic.
The SPCA of the Triad, Carolina Boxer Rescue, and Haley Graves Foundation will be on the lawn with information on adoption including dogs currently looking for foster homes or forever homes. All three rescues will have with information about their services and efforts in the community as well as donation stations and adoptable dogs.
Lobster Dogs Food Truck will make an appearance with lobster rolls and other brunch and lunch options. Coffee will be available on the lawn with live music by Finn Phoenix,
*Please note the only service animals are permitted inside the Market building according to City ordinance.
