Starting on Saturday, January 2nd, customers can stretch their SNAP dollars further at the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market. The market is doubling up to $15 worth of SNAP tokens for its Saturday visitors, meaning double your money, and double the items you can purchase. Double SNAP Saturdays will continue through April 16th at which time the Market will double on Wednesdays in conjunction with Mid Week Market which begins on April 20.

Thanks to Hillsdale Foundation and Mary Lynn Richardson Foundation, the EBT/SNAP match program will continue into the New Year. With support from these local foundations, the Market is able to provide a SNAP match for up to $15, meaning that a SNAP customer using the match program would withdraw $15 from a SNAP account and receive $30 to spend at the Market to purchase fresh produce, fish, meats, eggs, honey, milk and other items.

Greensboro Farmers Curb Market participates in several nutritional assistance programs including Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP), Farmers Food Share (FFS), Women Infants and Children (WIC), and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program. Greensboro Farmers Curb Market participates in SNAP and other programs because supporting better health through healthy eating is a vital part of the Market’s mission.
