Greensboro N&R – The Greensboro Farmers Curb Market, 501 Yanceyville St. in Greensboro, will be offering an educational herb tasting series this summer and fall.

With support from the Davis Education Fund of the N.C. Herb Society, the market will host six educational food tastings for Greensboro community members.

The series is seeking to raise awareness and use of local herbs that are available within a 100-mile radius. Guest chefs, dietitians and nutritionists will lead the free food tastings.

The series will begin Saturday with a pesto tasting and demonstration led by chefs Mary Lacklen and John Jones from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Harvest Learning Café.

Future demonstrations will incorporate seasonal herb recipes and ethnic world cuisine with market vendors.

The market is open from 7 a.m. to noon Saturdays and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesdays (April 20-Dec. 28).
