Greensboro Farmers Curb Market Hosts Apple Appreciation Day

Greensboro, Oct. 29, 2014 – The Greensboro Farmers Curb Market, 501 Yanceyville St., is celebrating fall with Apple Appreciation Day this Saturday, November 1 from 8am to 12 noon. The market will be serving up delicious apple pancakes served with a choice of toppings as a part of a new Apple Celebration & Appreciation Day. The pancakes will be prepared hot off the griddle by Chef Alex Amoroso of Cheesecakes by Alex, a regular vendor at the market.
Customers will be able to sample a variety of crisp NC mountain apples in the market. Leonard’s orchards will supply a variety of apples to sample: Rome, Stayman winesap, Turley Winsap, Golden, Reds, Fuji, Arkansas Black. Fresh pressed cider available as well to sample while supplies last. Additional varieties of apples are available for purchase.
Seasonal apple items will be available to purchase across the market including hot apple cider, fresh pressed cider, apple butter and jellies and baked goods.

Pancakes will be $5.00 per plate. Pancakes and apple samples are available on a first come, first serve basis with proceeds to benefit the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market.
In case of inclement or cooler weather the event will be held in the Harvest Room.
