The Greensboro Farmers Curb Market (501 Yanceyville Street) announces winter events including the Annual Chili Fundraiser Event and the Love Your Local French Toast Event and celebrates a vibrant Winter Market with fresh seasonal produce including carrots, celery, beets, bok choy, chard, mustard greens, spinach, turnips, rutabaga, winter squash, collards, kale, sprouts, lettuce of all varieties, sweet potatoes, apples, watermelon radishes, daikon radishes, pea shoots, milk, cheese, meats (pork, chicken, beef, goat, turkey, and seafood) and always farm- fresh eggs.
Patrons are invited to the Annual Chili Fundraiser that will take place on Saturday, January 26th from 9am until noon or while supplies last. Guest chef Patrick Roby of M’Coul’s Public House, Greensboro’s favorite Irish pub (110 W McGee St, Downtown Greensboro) will be stewing up some mouth-watering chili. Options include Pork & Green Hash Chili as well as a Jack Fruit & Banana Blossom Chili (vegetarian option) each topped with an optional Cilantro lime crema and side of Old Mill at Guilford cornbread. A suggested donation of $5 for a small bowl, $7 for a large bowl and a quart of chili for take home is available for purchase as well. Pre-sale tickets can be purchased at the Market Information Desk or on our live link. Patrons may also enjoy live music by local artist, Laura Jane Vincent, from 9 am to noon. All fundraising events are held on first come, first served while supplies last.
The Market will host free Seasonal Cooking Demonstrations in February:
· 2nd Harvest Food Bank will feature an interactive demonstration starting at 10 am on Saturday, February 2nd with their recipe for “Beet Salad.” Recipes cards and free samples will be available while supplies last.
· Guest Chef Morgan Powell will demonstrate a tasty way to use turnips in her recipe for “Vegan and Gluten Free Meatballs” at 10 am on Saturday, February 16th. Recipes cards and free samples will be available while supplies last.
Patrons are also invited to Love Your Local French Toast event on Saturday, February 9th starting at 8 am. MELT Kitchen & Bar will serve their signature French Toast with their house made raspberry syrup and additional toppings for a suggested donation of $5. A side of Neese’s sausage or bacon will be available for an additional $2. Patrons may also enjoy live music by local artist, Elliott Humphries, of Be the Moon from 9 am to noon.
Proceeds from monthly fundraisers benefit Greensboro Farmers Market, Inc., a 501c3 non-profit and underwrite market operations to subsidize vendor table costs and food security programs.

GFM operates the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market on behalf of the City of Greensboro. Location and Hours of Operation
The Greensboro Farmers Curb Market, 501 Yanceyville Street, is located at the corner of Lindsey Street and Yanceyville Street across from the War Memorial Stadium and operates year round on Saturdays 7 am to 12 pm and seasonally on Wednesday 8 am- 12 pm (April 17 – October 30). The Market is an indoor facility with free admission, WiFi, and plenty of free parking as well as an ATM on site.
