The Greensboro Farmers’ Curb Market (501 Yanceyville St.) in Greensboro opens its seasonal mid-week market today.
The midweek market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Wednesday through Dec. 28.
The Saturday market continues to operate from 7 a.m. to noon year-round.
With the return of the Wednesday market, patrons will notice some new things, including the Harvest Learning Cafe, a dining area where folks can sit and enjoy food items purchased from market vendors.
The cafe features a new display about the history of the market.
Make plans to stop by the market on Saturday for Gritty Blues starting at 8 a.m.
Chef Felicia McMillan of Lucky 32 will dish out hot bowls of Old Mill of Guilford grits with a variety of toppings provided by local vendors. Cost is $5 per bowl which benefits the market.
Singer/songwriter Andy Squint dishes up his own Louisiana spice starting at 9 a.m.
The market now offers a place to donate those clean, used tote bags that have been piling in the pantry. They’ll be available for patrons to use.
The market also is now doubling up to $15 worth of Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program tokens at both the Wednesday and Saturday markets.
