The Greensboro Farmers Curb Market will be offering an Educational Herb Tasting Series this summer and fall. With support from the Davis Education Fund of the NC Herb Society, the Market will host six educational food tastings for Greensboro community members, to raise awareness and uses of local herbs available in the region from a 100 mile locale. Guest chefs, dietitians, and nutritionists will facilitate the free food tastings.
The series will begin July 9 with a Pesto tasting and demonstration led by Chefs Mary Lacklen and John Jones on the lawn from 9 am to 11 am. Future demonstrations will incorporate seasonal herb recipes and ethnic world cuisine with market vendors.
