Meet cookbook author, Karen McClamrock, and local legend and restaurateur, Amelia Leung in the Harvest Learning Cafe.  Purchase a signed copy and get tips for making your own “Hong Kong House” cuisine.

 

Pumpkin Pancake Day & Celebration

Enjoy a fall morning out on the lawn at the Pumpkin Pancake Day & Celebration.  We’ll be serving up delicious pumpkin pancakes prepared by Alex Amoroso of Cheesecakes by Alex using Woody’s farm fresh eggs. Vendors across the market will have pumpkin inspired treats. Enjoy live music by Riley & Jan at 8 am followed by Carrie Pazdziora at 9:45.
The cost of the breakfast is $5 per plate with proceeds benefiting the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market.

 

Fall Herb Tasting & Demo

Our friends Sheri Vettel and Caitlyn Romm of Partnership 4Community Care will be preparing a super trendy sweet potato toast made with arugula, goat cheese, apples, and fresh herbs.  Don’t miss this delicious fall inspired dish and pick up a copy of the recipe.

 

Market Moves to the Depot
Saturday Oct. 29, 7 am – noon
The Greensboro Farmers Curb Market will make a temporary move to J. Douglas Gaylon Depot located at 236 East Washington Street as N.C. A & T celebrates their Homecoming. Shoppers will find a variety of seasonal, fresh produce, eggs, locally produced meats, baked goods, and crafts. Ample free parking will be available on site and at the adjacent lot located at the corner of Church and Washington Street.  We will be will offering SNAP/EBT during this move.

The market transforms into an eclectic wonderland of locally produced culinary treats, fine art, fiber art, pottery, jewelry, and bath & body treatments, and so much more! Patrons can shop from 100+ emerging and established artists with items for every budget.  Have lunch at one of the food trucks, Bandito Burrito and Zeko’s will be on site during the event.

 

Apple Pancake Day & Celebration

Guest chef Alex Amoroso of Cheesecakes by Alex will serve delicious apple pancakes made with farm fresh eggs and a choice of toppings. The plates are $5.00 with proceeds benefiting the Market. Patrons can enjoy music by Kendra Bragg beginning at 7:45 am followed by Carrie Pazdziora at 9:45 am.
