The public is invited to the Strawberry Pancake and Celebration Day on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 8:00 am until 11:30 am at the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market (501 Yanceyville Street). The event will be served outside, on the Market lawn. Picnic seating is available outside and additional seating is available inside in the Harvest Learning Cafe.

Guest chef Alex Amoroso of Cheesecakes by Alex will prepare his famously light and fluffy pancakes made with local ingredients, farm fresh eggs from Ward’s Happy Eggs, and topped with strawberries from Rudd Farm.

Patrons can enjoy live music on the Market lawn during the event. Momma Molasses, (Alt-Country, blues, honky-folksy, Americana) will perform 8:00 am – 9:45 am. The Moodboosters (smooth jazz lounge pop tunes) will perform from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.

Gate City Coffee will vend hot and iced coffee on the lawn. As part of its local foods program, the market will offer free samples of a healthy strawberry salad prepared by Partners for Community Care with organically grown strawberries from Farlow Farm.

The cost is $5 per plate with proceeds benefiting the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market. Plates available while supplies last.

Local strawberries from market vendors will be available for purchase across the market from: Farlow Farm, Byrley Gardens, Rudd Farm, Smith Farms, Sugar Hill Produce, Phillips Farm, PTB Farm, Rural Hall Farm, and George Smith of Smith Century Farm.
