The public is invited to participate in Yoga classes to be held at the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market (501 Yanceyville Street) on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.
Veggies and Vinyasa – Wednesday Yoga Class (7:15 – 8 am) preceding Mid-Week Market (8 am – 1 pm):
Join Sheri Vettel, RYT-200 & Registered Dietitian, for a playful yoga flow series (Veggies & Vinyasa) at the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market on Wednesday mornings. This six-week series, for yoga enthusiasts and beginners alike, will run from July 19th through August 9th (7:15-8:00 AM). The class will cost $8 to drop in or $10 to drop in with a child for Kids Corner (**to be considered for Kids Corner, please pre-register at least one week in advance with Sheri at foodflowmama@gmail.com.Certain conditions will apply**). Students, market vendors, and city employees can drop in for $5.00 with ID. Cash and card accepted.
Yogis who attend at least four of the six sessions, will be entered into a drawing a “Veggies & Vinyasa” tank or tee from Living on the Veg Tees. **Please bring your own mat (required) and yoga block, a blanket or towel, and yoga strap if available, extras will be limited**. Ohm Grown Yoga – Saturday Yoga Class (9 – 10:30 am) during Market (7 am -12 noon):
Join Jennifer Jennette, E-RYT, and RCYT, for a multi-level yoga class on Saturday mornings during Market. No prior experience is needed. Please bring your own mat and props. Some props like blankets blocks, straps and bolsters may be available to use during class. Class is for any level yoga enthusiasts ages 15+ and runs 7 weeks, June 24 – August 5 from 9:30 am – 10:30 am. The room will be open and available for warm- up at 9am. Drop in rate is $15 per class. Jennifer is a long-time farmers market, eat organic and “support local” enthusiast. She began practicing yoga in 1994 and became certified to teach in 2004. She has been sharing her knowledge and experience of the practice, principles and myriad benefits of classical yoga with adults and children ever since. She is also a certified Montessori teacher and member of Yoga Alliance the International Association of Yoga Therapists. Jennifer has been described by her students as welcoming, generous, knowledgeable about yoga culture and the human body and full of joy. Jennifer’s intention is to promote attention and light-hearted curiosity within a safe environment so that students of all ages can develop health, vibrancy and joy for living through yoga.
