The public is invited to the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market (501 Yanceyville Street) on Saturday, April 27th for a Crepe Breakfast with Chef Reto Biaggi beginning at 8 am on the Market lawn, weather permitting.
Guest Chef Reto Biaggi of Reto’s Kitchen will be creating specialty crepes featuring farm-fresh eggs from Ward’s Happy Chicken Eggs and seasoned lightly with spices and fillings to suit the Market’s passion for healthy fare. Crepes, a wafer-thin pancake, fill a niche in contemporary dining and both a sweet and a savory option will be available at this casual breakfast fundraiser for a minimum donation of $7 dollars per person/per plate. The savory crepe will be filled with roasted sweet potatoes, garlic and greens and the sweet crepe will feature goat cheese from Goat Lady Dairy and honey from Quaker Acre Apiaries. The Crepe Breakfast is first come, first serve and while supplies last.
Chef Reto, a Greensboro culinary master, brought his skills and expertise to North Carolina from France over 20 years ago. Originally from Switzerland and later France, he received his culinary degree in Lausanne, Switzerland and has been educating and catering since then. Patrons can also enjoy live music during this informal breakfast fundraising event from local musician, Elliott Humphries of “Be the Moon,” starting at 9 am on the lawn, weather permitting.
All fundraising events are first come, first served while supplies last. Event proceeds provide vital funds to the operation of five food security programs at the Greensboro Farmers Market, Inc.
