The public is invited to the Fun Fourth Celebration from 8 am to 1 pm on Wednesday, July 4th at the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market (501 Yanceyville Street).
Patrons can enjoy live music from 9:30 am to 11:00 am on the Lawn with the soothing folk sounds of Julian McCarthy. The Market will host an array of activities for families and kids on the lawn to celebrate our independence and our community. There will be bubbles, games, crafts, flag giveaways and a festive fruit-flag cake at 10 am (while supplies last).
The Market will be open from 8 am to 1 pm and patrons are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket and enjoy the patriotic fun for the whole family. Customers that wear their red, white, and blue attire will be entered into drawing for free Market totes valued at $7 (including new insulated style with ice packs to keep market products cool).
Corn is in season and just in time for your Fourth of July cook-outs! Find corn, watermelon, cantaloupe, tomatoes, okra, greens beans, potatoes, peaches, blueberries, blackberries, nectarines, summer squashes, zucchini, and all your summer favorites for an ALL LOCAL celebration. Don’t forget we’ve also got your grilling needs covered with grass-fed and pasture raised meats, poultry, and seafood. One can also find delicious ice cream, cakes and pies for easy meal endings. Location and Hours of Operation
The Greensboro Farmers Curb Market, 501 Yanceyville Street, is located at the corner of Lindsey Street and Yanceyville Street across from the War Memorial Stadium and operates year round on Saturdays 7 am to 12 pm and seasonally on Wednesday 8 am- 1 pm (April 18- December 19th). The Market is an indoor facility with free admission, WiFi, and plenty of free parking as well as an ATM on site.
