Greensboro, NC- The Greensboro Farmers Curb Market is the Triad’s original and largest ALL-LOCAL (100 miles or less) and fastest growing market with a 25% increase in customer foot traffic during 2017. Open year-round, GFM is seeking high-quality and local products grown or produced within a 100 mile radius of the Market.

GFM accepts a limited number of new vendors each year based on product types. As a farmers market, 75% of the vendor bases is designated for farmers with priority given to farmers, followed by food artisans and then craft artisans.

Currently, GFM is recruiting all eligible products for the Wednesday, Mid-Week Market, Wednesdays 8am-1pm through December 19th.  For more information on GFM Vendor Guidelines and Application Process please visit GSOfarmersmarket.org under “For Vendors.” Priority is given to Farm vendors who offer fresh foods. Upcoming deadlines for new applications are June 30th, 2018 and September 29th, 2018.

GFM is currently seeking only limited products for the Saturday Market. The following products will be considered for Saturday Market:

  • Farm: Dairy, meats (goat, turkey), seafood, nuts, berries, ground grains/wheat, certified organic produce, honey, sorghum, all fruit, as well as ethnic produce, field and greenhouse flowers. GFM is interested in fall/shoulder/winter farm producers.
  • Food Artisan (Value Added Products):Products featuring ingredients from market farms and locally grown ingredients (herbs, fruits, vegetables, meats) as well as fruit leathers, meat jerky, bone broth, soups, vegetable and fruit pickles, ferments, juices, kombucha, natural fresh smoothies, prepared sandwiches, dairy (goat, cow, or other) cheeses and ethnic foods.
  • Craft: At this time very few crafts are being accepted as space is very limited and not guaranteed. Craft applicants are invited to explore vending opportunities at the MADE 4 Market Arts, Crafts, and Pottery Shows. Registration for the MADE 4 the Holidays (November 11 and December 2) is now open and vendors can sign up here.

How to apply – Applications for Farm, Food Artisan and Craft vendors are found on the website at gsofarmersmarket.org under the “New Vendor” section. Applications are accepted quarterly each year. Applications include products being sold, production locations, quantities and required certifications. An application fee is required with each application. Upcoming deadlines are June 30th, 2018 and September 29th, 2018.

  • Or dropped by on Wednesday during Mid-Week Market from 10am-12noon.
  • Or an appointment can be made to meet with staff (allow at least a week to obtain). Due to high volume of interest and limited resources, in-person meetings will not be set after June 21st for the June 30 deadline or September 15th for the September 30. Or conversely we could say meeting requests made by at the very latest June 15 for June 30 deadline and September 15 for September 30 deadline.

Some of the benefits – GFM provides publicity for vendors by way of advertising with local papers, outreach events in the community, website and vendor database, social media posts – Facebook and Instagram; signage around the Market; flyers and posters around Greensboro, weekly newsletters that feature vendors and products; seasonal events and cooking demonstrations in the Cooks Corner Kitchen. GFM also participates in several Fresh Food Access programs and accepts EBT/SNAP, Orange tokens, and Farmers Market Nutrition Programs, WIC and Senior Vouchers as additional income sources to vendors.  The Market is an indoor facility with free admission, WiFi, plenty of free parking and an ATM on site.

Dog Days of Summer: Saturday, August 25, 2018
Dog Days of Summer will take place on the Market lawn and will feature a Dog Washing Donation Station, live music, local rescue animals, vendors with pet products, dog-friendly information, food trucks, and MORE! Made 4 the Holidays Crafts, Arts & Pottery Shows:
Sunday, November 11 & Sunday, December 2
Registration for the MADE 4 the Holidays is now open and vendors can sign up here. MADE 4 the Holidays Arts, Crafts, & Pottery Shows on November 11th and December 2, 2018, are the largest Triad-based, North Carolina artisan only event in the area. There will be a wide variety of handcrafted jewelry, pottery, fiber art, fine art, packaged artisan foods at this historic farmer’s market that houses over 170 vendors and artist.

Music Markers at the Market:

Kitchen Connects GSO, an incubator program to grow local entrepreneurs (www.kitchenconnectsgso.com) is now open for applications for the Fall 2018 class and currently accepting applications now through August 10th.  This 6 week training program is a partnership of the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market, Out of the Garden Project and the Guilford County Cooperative Extension. This collaboration with the City of Greensboro is made possible through a USDA Local Food Promotions (LFPP) grant.

Kitchen Connect GSO brings together Greensboro’s first shared-use kitchens with food safety and small business training classes to create a unique local food incubator program. The program’s goal is to provide opportunities for new value-added product startups to begin or expand their operations and increase the public’s awareness of locally produced foods.
