Greensboro, NC –The Greensboro Farmers Curb Market (501 Yanceyville St.) will host  Go Green Garden Show on Sunday, April 14, 2019 from 9 am to 2 pm. This annual event connects garden enthusiasts directly to the producers of North Carolina heritage, native and regional plants. Starter vegetables, herbs, and fruit bearing plants will also be available for patrons to purchase and are a perfect addition to any kitchen. This is THE spring event for everyone with a green thumb, from the patio gardener to budding urban farmer.

“Go Green Garden Show” is the largest all-local growers-only plant sale in the area and customers will find a variety plants ranging from vegetable starts to potted plants and flowering shrubs for walkways. Master Gardeners from the Cooperative Extension will be onsite to assist shoppers in finding the perfect plant for their situation and answer any gardening questions that they may have. Customers can also get advice, tips, and growing techniques direct from the growers. The “Go Green Garden Show” is the perfect place to discover tips and tricks to keep plants flourishing. 

Plants perfect for urban kitchen gardens, boxed gardens, or outdoor vegetable gardens will all be available for purchase including fruit bearing bushes such as blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. Customers can find herbs of all types including thyme, mint, basil, chives, and oregano. Vegetable starters will help patrons kick off their gardens with tomatoes, kale, arugula, Brussel sprouts, asparagus, spinach, and more.

Customers looking to add a little shade and texture to their yard or gardens can also find several trees and flowering shrubs ready for planting at the “Go Green Garden Show.” From the North Carolina classics Dogwood and Crape Myrtles to Japanese Maples, Willows, and Cherry trees; customers will have no shortage of options. Crowd favorites will be also be sold by several vendors such as azaleas, hibiscus, lilac, roses, violas, mums, flowering almonds, mountain laurels, sedum, ajuga, and so much more.

Plants are not the only thing customers can expect to find at the “Go Green Garden Show.” Vendors will have plant pots and boxes available as the perfect accent piece to any room or garden. Hand- made and unique wind chimes, bird houses, and bird baths will also be available as the perfect addition for any yard. Customers can experience live, local music and grab lunch or drinks from participating food trucks on site as well as enjoy coffee and pastries from Augustino Gusto.  This event is free to the public with free parking on site.

The Greensboro Farmers Curb Market, 501 Yanceyville Street, is located at the corner of Lindsey Street and Yanceyville Street across from the War Memorial Stadium and operates year round on Saturdays 7 am to 12 pm and seasonally on Wednesdays 8 am- 12 pm (April 17 – October 30). The Market is an indoor facility with free admission, WiFi, and plenty of free parking as well as an ATM on site.
