TWCNews – Greensboro Farmers Curb Market is helping set the table with fresh food for people who may need a little help.
The market is offering SNAP doubling program on Saturdays, where shoppers can double up to $15 worth of snap tokens for fresh produce, fish, meats, eggs, honey, milk and baked goods.
“We are surrounded by a food desert and we are very happy we are near public transportation. We are near two bus stops, so we are easy to get too and we are open on Saturdays when most folks have the day off,” said Donna Myers, market coordinator.
Double SNAP Saturdays will continue through April 16th.
After that the market will double on Wednesdays in conjunction with mid-week market which begins on April 20th.
