Lesson 3.1

Weekly Offerings

Estimated time: in minutes

Welcome to Module 3!

You’ve done a wonderful job building your Vendor Profile. Now let’s talk about one of the easiest ways to help customers discover what you’ll have at this week’s market.

Every week is a little different. You may have fresh produce, new artwork, seasonal baked goods, special products, or exciting new creations. Your Weekly Offerings let customers know what’s waiting for them before they leave home.

Think of it as inviting shoppers to your booth before market day even begins.

Let’s learn how it works!

Why This Matters

Many customers like to plan their visit before coming to the market.

They may be looking for fresh tomatoes, handmade soaps, local honey, artisan bread, flowers, or a special gift. When vendors share their Weekly Offerings, customers can see what’s available and begin planning where they’d like to shop.

Your Weekly Offerings also help promote the market as a whole by showcasing the incredible variety our vendors bring each week.

Taking just a few minutes to update your offerings helps customers discover your business, creates excitement for market day, and encourages them to stop by your booth.

Watch and Learn

Sharing Your Weekly Offerings

In this lesson, you’ll learn how to create and submit your Weekly Offerings so customers know what you’ll have available this week.

Let’s Do It Together

Let’s create a Weekly Offering.

  1. Open your Vendor Dashboard.
  2. Select Weekly Offerings.
  3. Click Add New Offering.
  4. Add a title, a short description, and a sale or featured item.
  5. Upload a clear photo if you’d like.
  6. Save or submit your Weekly Offering.

That’s it! You’re helping customers discover what makes this week’s market special.

⭐ Special Note

Think like your customer.

When writing your title and description, use the words customers are most likely to search for.

Instead of writing only:

Fresh from the farm

Try something more specific:

  • Seedless watermelons
  • Organic tomatoes
  • Fresh sourdough bread
  • Local honey
  • Handmade pottery
  • Natural deodorant
  • Goat milk soap
  • Fresh-cut flowers

These are the words shoppers naturally use when they’re looking for products. The more clearly you describe what you’re bringing to market, the easier it is for customers to discover your business. If a customer were searching for your product online, what words would they type? Those are the words you should include in your title, description, and featured/sale item.

Curbie’s Business Insight

Customers often decide what they’ll buy before they arrive.

When they see something that catches their eye—a basket of fresh peaches, a beautiful handmade mug, or a loaf of warm sourdough—they begin looking forward to finding your booth.

You don’t have to list everything you’ll have. Highlight a few items you’re especially excited about. Think of your Weekly Offering as an invitation rather than a catalog.

The more consistently you share what’s new, the more customers will look forward to seeing what you’ll bring each week.

Action Step

Create your next Weekly Offering before the market.

Choose one or two products you’re excited to share, write a friendly description, and upload your best photo.

Then imagine yourself as a customer. Would your offering make you want to visit your booth?

Checklist

By the end of this lesson, you should be able to say:

  • I know where to create a Weekly Offering.
  • I understand how Weekly Offerings help customers plan their visit.
  • I’ve created or updated a Weekly Offering.
  • I’m ready to share what’s new each market week.

Celebrate

Fantastic!

You’ve learned one of the most effective ways to connect with customers before market day.

Each Weekly Offering is another opportunity to showcase your products, share your creativity, and remind customers why they enjoy shopping at the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market.

In our next lesson, we’ll explore how to promote Vendor Events and invite customers to classes, demonstrations, tastings, and other special experiences.

I’ll see you there!
