Local chefs, farmers, and food enthusiasts prepared chili that was sampled and voted on by market patrons.  The five chili samples were served with a side of cornbread and gourmet grits crackers made with Old Mill of Guilford products. The chili recipes included ingredients and toppings such as pasture raised beef, pork, meat stocks, and herbs found within the market.

The Chili Challenge was made possible by the great support and effort from all five competing teams. Market patrons relaxed and enjoyed the chili in the newly renovated Harvest Café where entertainment was provided by local musicians, Colin Cutler and Seeds of Saints.

The Chili Challenge is the market’s kick off fundraiser for 2016 and provided customers with a warm experience during the winter market. It’s going to be an exciting year for the market where fun and tasty events are planned each month.

What a fun morning we had at the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market!
