Laurie has been a jeweler for more than 25 years and brings decades of experience, craftsmanship, and personal attention to every piece she creates. Her work includes jewelry repairs, redesigning and updating family jewelry, creating custom pieces, and designing wedding and anniversary bands.
One of the things that makes Kennedy Kreations unique is the emphasis on transforming jewelry with sentimental value into something new while preserving the memories and meaning attached to it. Whether it is redesigning a family heirloom, repairing a treasured piece, or creating a completely custom design, the goal is always to create something personal that can be enjoyed for years and passed down to future generations.
Jewelry With a Purpose
15 years ago, Laurie created her first original jewelry collection centered around puzzle pieces, inspired by the idea that we are all connected. Because the puzzle piece has become a recognized symbol associated with autism, the collection took on an even deeper meaning. A portion of the proceeds from the Puzzle Piece Collection is donated to the Autism Society of North Carolina, allowing customers to purchase a meaningful piece of jewelry while helping support an organization serving individuals and families affected by autism.
The family’s own experiences with cancer inspired the creation of a second collection focused on cancer awareness. This collection was created as a way to honor those who have faced cancer, remember those who have been lost, and show support for those currently fighting. A portion of the proceeds from the Cancer Awareness Collection is donated to the American Cancer Society.
More recently, Laurie added a third collection with a more faith-based and religious focus—the Cross Kollection. These pieces are designed to celebrate faith, hope, and the importance of spirituality in people’s lives. A portion of the proceeds from the Cross Kollection is donated to Greensboro Urban Ministries, an organization that serves the homeless, hungry, and poor in the Greensboro community.
These collections represent an important part of what Kennedy Kreations has become. They are not simply jewelry lines; they are opportunities to create something beautiful while supporting causes that are personally meaningful to the Kennedy family and to their customers.
Woodworking
Alongside the jewelry business, Kyle has been woodworking for most of his life. His love of working with wood has developed into a collection of rustic, handcrafted pieces designed to bring character, warmth, and personality into the home and outdoor spaces.
His woodworking projects range from rustic wall art and decorative pieces to birdhouses and other functional and artistic creations. Each piece is made with the same hands-on approach and attention to detail that goes into the jewelry.
The woodworking side of Kennedy Kreations allows Kyle to combine his love of natural materials with his creativity and interest in creating unique pieces that cannot simply be found on a store shelf.
